This piece of pottery is a tea bowl made by Shoji Hamada. It was thrown on a wheel and given a combed effect by using a tool. I like how the bottom of the part starts off very skinny and then it widens out and balances solely on the smaller bottom piece of the bowl. Also, I like how he chose to glaze the inside of the bowl a different color than the outside of the bowl.
