Ai wei wei art

One thing that caught my eye was the detailed art Ai wei wei made. These porcelain bowls done by the famous Ai wei wei depicted wars, ruins, refugee camps and demonstrations. Not only am I fascinated by Chinese porcelain but the story behind such art. You can definitely tell that this artist took time and dedication on creating this beautiful art piece.

Al Wei Wei is a a Chinese artist most famous for his contemporary work. He takes old pots and is able to refurbish them into more modern pieces of ceramics. His work is displayed in an art gallery with a picture of himself dropping his own ceramic pot. I find his pieces very interesting because they put a modern twist on an older piece of art.

Terracotta Warriors

This is a re-do on an a terracotta warrior, with bright colors. Roughly 700,000 workers created the terracotta figures for the Emperor and each soldier has its own unique facial expression. It is very fined detailed in my opinion and found very interesting that there is a story behind all these warrior at the time of Qin Shin Huang.
