Dinner Party

This place setting was made for the poet Emily Dickinson who is famous for her work in American Literature. She was very expressive in her thoughts and feelings through her poetry which was opposite of what women should have been like in the 19th century. She had an early feminist voice. This piece represents her quiet nature through the subtle and calm colors, as well as her dynamic mind that she expresses through her poems, that you can see their the intricate raised design on the plate.
