Bernard Leach Vase

This piece was made by Bernard Leach, who was a British studio potter and art teacher that is referred to as the "Father of British studio pottery". This piece stood out to me mainly due to the use of the color dark blue over a white background. This piece is simply detailed with straight lines and four fish. The design of all of the fish are the same and they almost look identical to one-another. I admire how this piece still stands out even with such a simple design.

Al Wei Wei is a a Chinese artist most famous for his contemporary work. He takes old pots and is able to refurbish them into more modern pieces of ceramics. His work is displayed in an art gallery with a picture of himself dropping his own ceramic pot. I find his pieces very interesting because they put a modern twist on an older piece of art.

Terracotta Warriors

This is a re-do on an a terracotta warrior, with bright colors. Roughly 700,000 workers created the terracotta figures for the Emperor and each soldier has its own unique facial expression. It is very fined detailed in my opinion and found very interesting that there is a story behind all these warrior at the time of Qin Shin Huang.
