This piece by Bernard Leach is filled with texture! I love the ropes and how they criss-cross over one another to create a woven effect. It seems that he used a few different methods while creating this pot,  and I know from my own personal experience, that requires a lot of skill and patience. I also appreciate how the bottom is not absolutely straight since art doesn't always have to be perfect. This is a job well done.

Al Wei Wei is a a Chinese artist most famous for his contemporary work. He takes old pots and is able to refurbish them into more modern pieces of ceramics. His work is displayed in an art gallery with a picture of himself dropping his own ceramic pot. I find his pieces very interesting because they put a modern twist on an older piece of art.

Terracotta Warriors

This is a re-do on an a terracotta warrior, with bright colors. Roughly 700,000 workers created the terracotta figures for the Emperor and each soldier has its own unique facial expression. It is very fined detailed in my opinion and found very interesting that there is a story behind all these warrior at the time of Qin Shin Huang.
