Spoons

Shannon Garson's article titled "Home Cooking- A Case for Handmade Tableware," discussed how our capitalist country has driven pottery to become industrialized and is being created in factories rather than by hand like it has always been made throughout history. "The privilege of using handmade pots is that they contain the idea of human endeavor, a link with other people not with factories and corporations," states Garson. She brought up a brilliant point. It is important that we keep the culture of hand-made pottery making alive. I chose this image of these three spoons because it is evident they were made by hand considering their differences in size and shape. I think they are look delicate and simple. I also love the colors and design of each.
